America the Beautiful
by Katharine Lee Bates - 1913
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America! God shed His grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
I hear the trees sing, sweet freedom's song.
I hear the mountains humming along.
I see a country, where all live free.
I see a land of liberty!
I see a future, bright as the sun.
I see a people living as one.
Look in my heart and you out to see America for me!
